Introduction
Hopwood Design Company specialise in Special Purpose Machine Design and Mechanical Handling Machine Design. We use 3D modelling software to produce designs to suit your requirements.
Once the design is complete, full assembly and detail drawings are produced for manufacturing purposes. Drawings can be provided in 2D formats including dwg, dxf and pdf. If you prefer 3D views of the component or assembly then we can supply dwf format files, or if you need an actual component, then a rapid prototyping service can be provided.
Backed up with sound engineering knowledge, we use Computer Aided Design to provide you with engineering designs to your specification. Or if you have an idea for a design and need help with the concept, our knowledge will help you develop your scheme in to a working design.
For those who prefer their work produced using 2D draughting methods, we would be happy to demonstrate how 3D modelling can offer the ability to view assemblies in 3D for better visualisation, run animations to analyse mechanisms to highlight potential problem areas, produce stress analysis reports, unfold sheet metal components for laser cutting, give you the flexibilty to make changes to the design prior to cutting metal. After all the additional benefits of working in 3D we can still give you your drawings in 2D.
Communication is the key to a successful design, especially in the early stages of a project. With Hopwood Design Company you will deal directly with the Design Engineers to ensure that your requirements are fully understood. Based near Burnley, Lancashire we are close to the motorway network and have worked with companies throughout the area and worked on many projects home and abroad.
Whatever your requirements, give us a call or use the contact form, we will be glad to discuss how we can help.
